Practice as Parenting: Cultivating Resources for Sustained Engagement in a Challenging World

As parents we tend to the world both through the microcosm of the needs of our families, and through outward engagement in the communities around us...

In this four-session series for parents, we will explore the relationship between inward and outward practice in parenting, and how to find balance in our lives between them.  Participants will learn how to begin or deepen a meditation practice; and consider teachings from both the Zen tradition and contemporary mindfulness practices that can support us in creating a sustainable way to tend to our lives, families and world.

The group will use a “listening circle” model so we can share our stories, our triumphs, challenges and insights on the path of parenting.

No previous meditation experience is required.
