In this fun workshop for Sonoma Academy students, we’ll explore strategies for cultivating a personal practice; look at some of the most current research on how mindfulness impacts the brain and nervous system; and create an action plan for reducing stress and increasing wellbeing.
By attending this event students will:
Create an action plan for integrating mindfulness into a busy schedule
Explore the latest mindfulness research
Connect with other students interested in the benefits of mindfulness
Learn how regulating our nervous system impacts our health
Understand how to create small habits that make a big difference
This workshop is facilitated by Chelsea True. Working with teens is especially dear to Chelsea as her career as a mindfulness educator began with her own daughter, now fourteen years old. Together, they have attended many mindfulness retreats around the world, including in Southern France, Toronto, and Southern California. Along with developing many secular mindfulness programs, Chelsea also serves as the Youth & Family Programs Coordinator for San Francisco Zen Center.
