Sebastopol Meditation Group: This ongoing group for adults meets the 2nd of 4th Wednesdays of each month, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, and is grounded in the work of Thich Nhat Hanh whose core teaching is mindfulness. We share sitting and walking meditation, a reading, discussion, and tea. There is not cost to attend this group. Donations are accepted. Please inquire for the location. Mindful Educators Alliance: The Mindful Educators Alliance (MEA) aims to bring educators, counselors, parents and anyone working with youth together into a community of practice. We offer retreats throughout the San Francisco Bay Area with a focus on cultivating and deepening personal practice before teaching or sharing mindfulness with youth. Our last event took place in July 2018 at the Marin Headlands. Our next event is slated for September 22, 2018 in San Francisco. A retreat in Napa/Sonoma is tentatively slated for October 2018.
Parenting as Practice: This four-session series aims to create a space for parents to pause together in the midst of busy family lives; to begin or deepen a meditation practice; and to explore practices that can support our inner wisdom in parenting to come through in our daily lives. Cost: $80 for the series. $20 per session drop-in. Location: Stone Creek Zen Center, 2999 Bowen St. Graton, CA. Facilitators: Dojin Sarah Emerson and Chelsea True. Upcoming dates TBA.
