CUSTOMIZEd PROGRAMs

support well-being at your school or organzation

All customized programs are mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, grounded in the work of racial, social, and climate justice, and curated to meet the unique needs of your school or organization.

Faculty First:  Support school-based clinicians, support staff, and teachers with mindfulness training, psycho-education, restorative practices, anti-racism training, stress-reduction, and self-care.  Programs range from a single professional development workshop, to a yearlong, in-depth program.

Parent Support and Education:  Help parents learn effective tools for bringing nurturance and mindfulness into the home environment.  Parent education could include a single evening workshop or ongoing support.

Whole-School Implementation:  This wrap-around program may be the most effective way to bring a nurturance culture to your school community, integrate mindfulness-based practices in culturally relevant ways, and to become a trauma-informed school. Develop school structures and polices that support well-being. Train faculty, staff, students, and parents with ongoing support.

High School Elective:  Bring a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) course to your school. This course could be offered to mixed grades by the quarter or the semester.  We recommend offering mindfulness as an optional course.   We’ve also had success allowing teachers to participate in the mindfulness elective alongside students.

TESTIMONIALS:

“I am learning how to be less stressed! Everything about this class was great!”
— 9th Grade Student, Sonoma Academy
“I want to let you know how wonderful the class was... Chelsea is a superb teacher — always patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and calm. The class was my first exposure to mindfulness, and she did an excellent job introducing all of the concepts. I will definitely be taking many of the practices she taught in class with me as I enter college.”
— 12th Grade Student, Sonoma Academy
The mindfulness project has and continues to be one of my student’s favorite calming tools that they are learning to acquire. Many of my students come from homes where trauma seeps into their young souls. Ms. True gives my students and I an opportunity to turn trauma into loving quiet moments that ripple throughout their lives. When Ms. True drifts into our classroom, she spreads her magic in addition to her love.
— Louis Edney, Third Grade Teacher, Bayside Martin Luther King Jr. Academy
